All Feelings are Journeys by Jessica Depatie

Updated: Apr 11, 2020

We’re told we should never be ashamed, but maybe we should…

.

Is it wrong to be guilty?

If we hurt someone else or dishonor nature, we should feel shame.

But it doesn’t mean we need to stay there.

.

All feelings are journeys.

We must honor them, especially our darker feelings.

They’re the raw materials for our transformation.

.

Honoring the negative feeling is the beginning of your transformation.

You’ve heard this journey known as putting in “the work.” But don’t think of it as work. It’s a privilege!

.

We’re so lucky to live in a place and time where we have the tools to understand this process. We don’t need to avoid our shadow sides any more out of survival because this avoidance is the exact reason we’re not able to let go of your self-judgements.

.

When you learn more about your own wounds and start to get clarity around where they came from, you learn to be gracious and kind towards others and yourself. You start to realize that behavior you may perceive as negative, cruel, or unjust is a wounding that you or others are suffering from every day. You start to see all people including yourself with soft eyes and a kind compassionate heart.

.

Today, be warm without being overbearing. Be candid without being harsh. Treat yourself and others with dignity no mater the behavior. And remember, it’s better to be fucked up and aware, then perfect and pretending to be aware.

Jessica Depatie specializes in the decision-making psychology of what makes individuals pursue greatness. She dives deep into the why’s and hows of growth in the journey of living happier and healthier futures. Jessica is often quoted as saying, “if you save men, you save the world.” She believes the work being done through the @specialforcesexperience and other like-minded collectives to focus on the spiritual, mental, and physical growth of men will make radical, positive shifts in the future of humanity.

Jessica just started a new project called The Shadow Work Library.

This library covers the spectrum of negative patterns in the human experience and how you can become friends with your dark-sides and integrate them into your life in healthy and creative ways.

On each episode, Jess defines a ROOT CAUSE shadow state, the ORIGINS of that shadow to understand it's purpose, how it shows up in your life, and how you can TRANSFORM it into a STRENGTH.

On February 19, 2020, Jess and I will be doing an IG LIVE at 8:30 pm EST on my page @deebird20 and we will be discussing Jessica's imprint of service in the world.

I will be recording the IG LIVE and uploading the audio here for you to listen to in the future.

Thank you for your constant support in my mission to spread holistic healing education, tools, and skill across the world!

All the love,

Danielle
